HARMONIST BEAUTY
Let's give meaning to beauty
Every day, our simplest actions reflect intentions.
A cream applied gently, a treatment caressed on the skin or in the hair, are rituals that have meaning. By taking care of ourselves, we harmonize our nature with that of the environment, our lifeblood.
This is what we call harmonious beauty. We believe there is a subtle and profound reciprocity between Nature and Humanity. We advocate for the beauty that connects us to life, that does not take without giving, that inspires without harming.
Every ingredient we choose, every product we create, respects this delicate balance between our body, our mind, and biodiversity. Beyond dictates and mere appearance, let's reveal our true nature through our beauty rituals, with full awareness… because our skin reflects our identity.
Cattier, a pioneer in natural and organic skincare
1968, the year when nature was finally to be celebrated for what it gave us.
By offering clay in cosmetic form, Pierre Cattier was paving the way for authentic skincare, long before the word "organic" existed.
Today, his visionary drive still inspires our committed teams, who continue to explore the active principles of ingredients from nature, to formulate high-performance, protective and unadulterated skincare.
They share a common thread: creating sensory rituals that respect life as much as they nourish our skin, our mind, our well-being. So that beauty remains an act of harmony with the Earth.
Cattier, harmonious beauty since 1968
Cattier Clay, Earth of Beauty
Founded in 1968, the brand was born from the friendship between three men: Pierre Cattier, a committed and visionary entrepreneur; Raymond Dextreit, founder of the Harmoniste method; and Jacques Delaunay, owner of a clay quarry.
Thanks to his friendship with Raymond Dextreit, a proponent of alternative medicine and the instigator of the Harmonist movement in France, as well as the author of numerous books (The Harmonist Method, The Healing Clay, etc.), and with Jacques Delaunay, owner of a clay quarry, Pierre Cattier discovered the full richness and benefits of clay, this "Earth of Beauty" with its myriad virtues. In 1968, he decided to make its benefits accessible to as many people as possible by beginning to sell it in his wife's natural products shop in Paris, on rue André del Sarte, not far from the gardens of Montmartre.
And so began a beautiful story, that of a small, visionary family business that democratized the use of clay, a mineral formed from the metamorphosis of rock, naturally rich in minerals and endowed with incredible beneficial properties. Initially, clays of various colors, grain sizes, and types—Montmorillonite, Illite, and Kaolinite—were offered to customers on Rue André del Sarte. These were quickly followed by a range of clay pastes that Cattier developed to meet the needs of its consumers.
